Jules McGregor is an award winning spacial designer and image maker. Her practice encompasses intuitive exploration and experimentation. She is drawn to solar radiation and how this energy sustains our planet. These material interactions; influenced by atmospherics - combine with photo sensitive chemicals and maths to capture the essence of the energy revealing a visible interpretation our world. Form and space emerge, real and imagined.

These investigations are inspired by the photographic medium. During this process she draws on her own and the wider histories of photography, design and fine art. Her images are subtle narratives that go beyond recording the interaction of natural light and form.

Her practice is infused by her experience of living and studying in Scotland, Japan and the West Country of England. For her, space and an ever changing light, combine to create visual stories opening up a world of reverie.
